We strive to make choosing a Book Gift Package at Books With Bows as quick and easy as possible. You are always offered the flexibility of choosing a gift book package, changing or upgrading the package (length & type), selecting book titles or leaving the selection of books to your gift recipient. We offer an easy search and browse functionality and provide book Highlights and Recommended Book Gift Ideas to help with your gift giving needs.
Books With Bows offers nine conveniently priced gift package types; three, six and twelve month gifts packages for Children's, Adult and Specialty books. Before you are able to select a book title to enter into your Gift Package Cart, you will be asked to select a package type and length. This package will be displayed in the right hand column of your screen while you are browsing and searching and can be "upgraded" or changed at any time by selecting the Change Gift button in the Gift Package Cart. Don't forget, no book titles have to be selected; you can leave the fun of selecting the books to your gift recipient.
Note: After selecting a package type (children's/adult/specialty) you and your gift recipient will be limited to selecting books assigned to that section type or lower. A specialty gift type (the most expensive) can select books from anywhere on the site. However, a children's gift type cannot choose books from the adult or specialty sections.
If you'd like to select book titles you can do this through our Browse, Search or Recommended Book Selections functionality; each book title has a "Buy Now" or "Select Book" button. By clicking this button the selected title will be placed in the first open month in your Gift Package Cart. (*If you haven't selected a package type and length you will be asked to do so now.) The package type and length can be changed at any point prior to checkout. Also, to help you with your selections, a book detail page is available simply by clicking on the title link. Here you will find a short annotation and the Publishers Marketing information. A "Select Book" or "Buy Now" button is available from this screen, to put the title in your gift cart. Continue to add books to your package for each subsequent month.
If you choose a title with a Pub. Date in the future, you will not be allowed to checkout with the title in a month prior to the books release. You will be asked to remove the title and move it to a later month or change the selection.
When you're satisfied with your Gift Package Cart (type/length and book selections if any) you are ready to proceed to Checkout. If you're not ready to complete your purchase but would like to save your Gift Package Cart, you may do so by clicking the "Save Order" button under your gift cart. Gift Package Carts are saved in the My Account section, so you must be logged in or register before using this convenient option.
Registering takes just a few minutes, but will save you lots of time and typing on your future visits. For instance, if you register with us, we'll save some of your billing information so that you don't have to enter it again. Also, we offer convenient personalized services like Address Book, Gift Reminder Calendar, Saved Gift Package Carts and Sent Gifts Account History. Books With Bows uses passwords to provide secure transactions for its customers and gift recipients. If you are a registered customer, enter your User Name and password and click Submit. If you are a new customer, you may register by selecting the Register button at the bottom of the login window. If you have received a Books With Bows gift, enter your gift number in the "Did you Get a Gift?" window. If you need assistance, please contact Customer Service toll-free at 1-877-736-3266.
After proceeding to Checkout (you are registered and logged in at this point) you will be asked to enter your Gift Recipient's information; name, shipping address, phone number and email if available. You are given the option of saving the recipient to your address book. You may also select a recipient from previously entered information in your address book.
After you have submitted your recipient information you will be taken to a screen that requires you to select a desired gift delivery date. Books With Bows will make every reasonable effort to deliver the first book gift on or before the desired delivery date for all orders placed 2 business weeks prior to the selected day. Not in time? On this screen you are given the option of sending an Express Gift Notification via email (for immediate delivery) and or sending an Advanced Gift Notification via first class mail (receipt within 3-5 days). **Important: If you want your gift to be a Surprise DO NOT choose these options.
For your convenience Books With Bows has pre-written card messages for many occasions and events that can be selected from a pulldown button (optional). A personal message screen is provided where you can enter your own message. Or you can do both! These messages will be included on a "Special Gift for You" gift card, and come with the first book gift package.
Several external label messages can be chosen from this screen as well, (ie., Don't Open Until Your Birthday!).
From this screen you are also given the option of choosing to have the first book package sent to you directly (will be shipped to the billing address stored in your registration information) so that you may personally deliver your first book gift. Subsequent gift months will be delivered to the recipients mailing address provided.
You are now on the Credit Card Information Page. Here you will need to provide your credit card number, card type, card expiration date and Special Credit Card number (required for card not present transactions for your security). This is a three digit number found on the back of your Visa and Master Card and a 4 digit number on the front of your American Express credit card. see more. You are also presented with the amount of the package you are purchasing. At the bottom of this section is a window to enter your catalog code #, if available. The catalog code number is found on the back cover of your catalog to the right of your address.
Here you will see a summary of your order including: Package type and length, Giver's billing address, Recipient and delivery information, books (if any) in your Gift Cart Package, the package price, tax if applicable and shipping charges. You can make changes to your order here, save the order, cancel the order or proceed with checkout. Once you proceed to check out your credit card will be billed for this transaction.
You are now on the Gift Package Confirmation page. This page gives you a summary of the order, including your transaction reference number. If you have provided your email address, this confirmation will be emailed to you shortly. If not, please print this page as a receipt for your order. Your order history is now available through the My Account section.
Since your 1st gift package order is now being processed for delivery to your recipient in approximately 2 weeks or on or before your desired delivery date, you may choose to print this pre-formatted gift message that can be included in a personal gift card you may be sending the recipient or personally delivered by you.
